We have joined with British Columbia Food Technologists (BCFT),
the BC Food Processors Association (BCFPA), Small Scale Food Processor Association
(SSFPA) and Western Canadian Function Food and Natural Health Product Association
(WCFN) to host a Food Industry
Holiday Dinner Cruise
on November 28, 2008 to celebrate the festive
season and to do some cross-association networking. The cruise will board at
the Plaza of Nations Marina at 6:30 pm in Vancouver and sail until 10:00 PM
The cost of the event will be $68.75 which includes GST, the 3 hour cruise,
gourmet buffet dinner, Christmas caroler, music, prizes and cash bar. Due to
the cost of the event and the need to guarantee minimum numbers we will be asking
for reservations to be made by November 10th with prepayment by November 17,

2008 Annual General Meeting

The BC Food Protection Association will be
hosting our Annual General Meeting on
December 1st, 2008 at the Vancouver Metrotown Hilton Hotel, 6083
McKay Avenue, Burnaby, BC. This event will feature IAFP
President-Elect, Vickie Lewandowski, courtesy of the International
Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Speaker Program, presenting on The
Safety of Milk Products. This event will be free of charge to
our membership and will also feature displays by our sustaining members and
presentation of our 2008 Scholarship Awards. Please see
